The Maryland Wine Festival returns to the Carroll County Farm Museum for its 42nd year on Saturday, June 6, running 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 500 S. Center St., Westminster. The outdoor event brings together more than 30 Maryland wineries, a full lineup of food trucks, juried artisan vendors, and live music across the Farm Museum's 143-acre grounds.
Tickets & Pass Options
Tickets are available in advance at marylandwinefestival.org or through Ticket Hive. Advance pricing is $40 for General Admission, which includes access to the Main Field, a souvenir tasting glass, and wine samples from the participating wineries. General Admission purchased at the door is $45.
The Explorer Pass ($75 advance / $80 at door) upgrades the experience with access to the Maryland Wine Explorer Village, a separate area featuring curated Maryland-grown wine samples, exclusive seating, complimentary filtered water, and air-conditioned restroom facilities. A Designated Driver option is available at $20 (General) or $25 (Explorer Village access).
A new BBQ & Wine Experience ($50, advance purchase only) pairs a live demonstration from pitmaster Roger Sherman of The District Pit with a full BBQ feast matched against four Maryland wines. Tickets for this add-on must be purchased in advance; there are no walk-up sales on the day.
Wineries
More than 30 wineries are pouring across the Main Field and Explorer Village. Main Field participants include Bordeleau, Broken Spoke, Celebration Cellars, Cove Point, Elk Run Vineyards, Far Eastern Shore, Layton's Chance, Linganore WineCellars, Misfit Winery, St. Michael's Winery, Stone House Urban Winery, Tipsy Teacher, and The Urban Winery, among others. Explorer Village wineries include Boordy Vineyards, Clear Skies Meadery, Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, Trueman Vineyards, and other labels, many of which offer limited releases. Ruhlman Brewery & Covalent Spirits will also be on site for those looking for local beer and spirits.
Live Music
Two acts are scheduled on the main stage, sponsored by Sunbelt Rentals. Indie-folk band Ebb & Nova performs from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by Groovalicious from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Food & Shopping
An extensive food truck and vendor lineup includes Cousins Maine Lobster, Jimmy's Famous Seafood, Sugar Shack Soul Food, The Cow, Bebo's Mac Shack, and about two dozen others. Juried artisan vendors cover candles, jewelry, leather goods, art, and more. A selection of local flower vendors, including Harden Family Farms and Nuthatch Gardens, will be present for the first time in 2026.
A free Wine Check service at the Maryland Wine Shop lets attendees drop off bottle purchases and retrieve them before leaving.
What to Know Before You Go
The festival operates under a clear bag policy: bags must be clear plastic no larger than 12"×6"×12", a gallon-size zip bag, or a small clutch no larger than 5"×7". Small coolers (up to 10"×8"×10") and sealed water bottles up to 16 oz. are permitted. No outside alcohol, glass containers, or pets allowed. Pop-up tents are not permitted inside the Explorer Village. Children 12 and under are admitted free with an adult ticket holder; ages 13–20 require a Designated Driver pass.
Parking is available on site at 500 S. Center St. Overflow parking is at the Carroll County Agriculture Center, 706 Agricultural Center Dr., Westminster. Rideshare drop-off and pickup is at the Main Gate off Farm Museum Road only — no waiting area.
