Summer movie season doesn't have to break the bank in Westminster.
Between RC Theatres' $1 Tuesday and Wednesday morning showings at the TownMall and free Tuesday night movies at the Carroll Arts Center on Main Street, there are plenty of affordable ways to keep the family entertained once school lets out.
Just Announced: RC Theatres Summer $1 Series
RC Theatres at TownMall of Westminster is bringing back its popular summer movie series, with showings running Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from June 16 through August 5. Tickets are $1 per person, a steal for families looking to beat the heat and catch some quality entertainment in a theatre environment.
The lineup includes eight family-friendly films:
Smurfs (June 16 & 17)
The Last Dragon (June 23 & 24)
Despicable Me 4 (June 30 & July 1)
The Wild Robot (July 14 & 15)
Madagascar 4 (July 21 & 22)
SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (July 28 & 29)
Minions: Rise of Gru (Aug 4 & 5)
All showings start at 10 a.m. RC Theatres also offers sensory-friendly showings for all these movies.

Free Movies at Carroll Arts Center
If free is more your speed and you prefer an evening movie, the Carroll Arts Center is back with indoor summer movie programming this year on Tuesday nights after a few years of outdoor screenings.
Running June 30 through August 4 with showings every Tuesday at 7:00 PM, the theater will have concessions, popcorn, and kids’ activities in the lobby.
