The Veterans Celebration of Carroll County is happening this Sunday, May 3, 2026 at the Carroll County Farm Museum.
The event is free to attend with free parking, and it's open to everyone—veterans, active military, family members, and community members alike.
What to Expect
The celebration runs all day Sunday with live music, food vendors, activities for kids, and military equipment displays. The Westminster Municipal Band and Midnite Run will perform throughout the event. A welcome ceremony kicks off at 1:00 PM, followed by a special recognition ceremony at 1:30 PM, where all veterans will be recognized with commemorative certificates and challenge coins.
Food options include regional food trucks and concessions with a variety of entrees, beverages, and desserts. Ruhlman Brewery will be on site if you're interested in beer (valid state ID required). Outside food and glass containers are not permitted, but attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for seating.
Activities for Kids
Children will find plenty to do, including the farm's Farmyard Friends area, playground, balloon artist, face painting, and a children's activity book. New this year are a GAGA pit and a fitness challenge course. There's also an interactive booth for the USA's 250th Anniversary.
Beyond the kids' activities, there will be a military equipment display, a veterans’ memorabilia exhibit in the farmhouse, local craft vendors, and farm museum artisan demonstrations. A cornhole area is available for all ages.
Special Perks for Veterans
Veterans attending will receive several items while supplies last: an event clear tote, a commemorative lapel pin, and a $5 coupon for use at identified food vendors. The first 250 veterans will receive a commemorative T-shirt from the 5th Annual Veterans Celebration of Carroll County. Complimentary water will also be available for veterans.
A resource fair featuring various veterans' service organizations will be on-site, providing information and support for those who served.
Parking and Accessibility
Parking is available on-site and free. The majority of parking is field/grass parking. Those needing handicapped parking or wishing to enter through the museum's main gate on Farm Museum Road should park in the museum lots at 500 S. Center Street, Westminster. A large handicapped parking area is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
If the museum parking lots reach capacity, traffic will be diverted to the adjacent Carroll County Agriculture Center lot. Golf carts will be available throughout the event to shuttle attendees from the parking to the main gate.
What to Know Before You Go
The Carroll County Farm Museum is a large outdoor venue with mostly grassy grounds, so dress appropriately for the weather. The event will be held rain or shine.
Leave pets at home—they are not allowed on the grounds and cannot be left in vehicles during the event.
