The Carroll County Student Government Association (CCSGA), the student group that represents Carroll County Public Schools students, will host a forum for Board of Education candidates tonight, Monday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m., according to a Sept. 15 announcement from Carroll County Public Schools.
Six candidates are running for three open seats on the board in the Nov. 3 general election, according to the Maryland State Board of Elections: Cleveland Christopher Friday, Marsha B. Herbert, Shannon Hinkhaus, Lisa Maisano, Julie V. Walsh and Sharon Wilhide. Westminster Wire has not yet confirmed whether all six will take part in tonight's forum.
The forum is open to the public and will be held in the Charles I. Ecker Boardroom at the Board of Education offices, 125 N. Court St., Westminster. CCSGA President Peony Kang and Gabriella Tedeschi, the student representative on the Board of Education, will moderate, the school system said.
The forum will air live on CETV Channel 21 or on the CCPS Media YouTube channel.
