The Carroll County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 20 hosts a cornhole tournament on Sunday, June 7, at the Carroll County Agriculture Center (706 Agriculture Dr., Westminster), with a $5,000 prize pool. Check-in opens at 10:00 a.m., and bags fly at 11:00 a.m. The event runs until 5:00 p.m.
Five divisions are available: Competitive Doubles, Social Doubles, Open Doubles, Co-Ed Doubles, and Women's Singles. Whether you're a serious competitor or just looking for a reason to toss bags on a Sunday, there's a bracket for you. Registration is $25 for singles and $50 for doubles. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site.
Proceeds go toward FOP Lodge 20's Officer Assistance Fund, which supports law enforcement officers across Carroll County, including those from Westminster PD, the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, Sykesville PD, Manchester PD, Hampstead PD, Taneytown PD, and Mount Airy PD, in cases of injury, natural disaster, or wrongful prosecution.
The tournament will be held at the Carroll County Agriculture Center, a 20-acre complex on Agriculture Drive that serves as the longtime home of the Carroll County 4-H and FFA Fair and the weekly Carroll County Farmers Market.
FOP Lodge 20 is also actively seeking sponsors for the event. Sponsorships help increase the prize pot beyond its current $5,000 floor. Businesses or individuals interested in sponsoring can download the sponsorship packet here.
