Carroll Post #31 of the American Legion hosts the Westminster Memorial Day Parade & Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, May 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in historic downtown Westminster. The event is free and open to the public.
For more than 80 years, Carroll Post 31 has honored fallen servicemen and women through the parade and observance ceremony; it’s a procession considered by many to be one of the longest, consecutively run Memorial Day parades in the country.
The parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue, moving down Main Street and ending at the Westminster Cemetery on Church Street, where a memorial service begins at 11:00 a.m. Based on past parades, you can expect bands, color guards, veterans organizations, scout troops, fire trucks, and more.

Past Westminster Memorial Day parades, including the 2025 event, can be streamed on the Carroll County Community Media Center YouTube page.
