In a statement to Westminster Wire, Westminster Mayor Mona Becker said, "Westminster loves a good Main Street event to showcase our downtown. We welcome first-time visitors, regular attendees, and residents to our wonderful events throughout the summer. Having families and friends strolling Main Street during our events is a great way to bring business to our downtown merchants."

The festival kicks off Friday, May 8, with a 7:30 p.m. concert at the Carroll Arts Center: Ahmed Warshanna's ISHTA! Plays the Beatles, presented by Fine Tuned Presents and the Carroll County Arts Council. Tickets are on a sliding scale from $18 to $28. Distinctive cocktails from Westminster's Liquid Library will be available at the concessions stand.
