The Humane Society of Carroll County will hold Woofstock 2026 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Wakefield Valley Event Center & Park, 1000 Fenby Farm Road in Westminster. The pet-friendly festival raises money for the shelter's animal care and adoption programs.
The event moves to Westminster this year after being held at Taneytown Memorial Park in 2025, and shifts from June to September.
Suggested admission is $10 per car, by donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of Carroll County. The day includes live music, food trucks, local vendors, pet demonstrations, a petting zoo, a car show, raffles and giveaways. Area rescues will be on site with adoptable animals.
Fun Run and Leash-urely Walk
The morning opens with a pet-friendly 5K Fun Run at 9 a.m., followed by a 1-mile Leash-urely Walk at 10:30 a.m. Registration for the 5K is $55 and includes a commemorative finisher medal and an event T-shirt; the first 100 participants pay $45, and the fee rises to $65 on Sept. 1. The 1-mile walk is $35 per person and includes a finisher medal. Participants of all ages are welcome, and children may take part alongside a registered adult. Registration is available at p2p.onecause.com/woofstock.

Dachshunds and dachshund mixes 6 months and older can compete in the Wiener Dog Races, which include separate categories for younger and senior dogs. Advance registration is $25 per dog, and day-of registration is $35 per dog. Entries are limited to 64 in each age category.

Bark Before the Park
The Humane Society will host Bark Before the Park, a sponsor- and donor-appreciation reception, on the evening of Friday, Sept. 18, on the patio at Wakefield Valley. The event features hors d'oeuvres, live music and the shelter's signature "Paw-Raise" fundraiser. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, Sept. 11.
Vendors and sponsors
Vendor booth space is available now. Outdoor spaces are $35 for a 10-by-10 booth or $50 for a 10-by-20, and allow both vendors and attendees to bring pets, but do not include electricity.
