The Free State Daylily Society (FSDS) will hold its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carroll County Agricultural Center, 700 Smith Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
This year's sale is being held in conjunction with the Mason-Dixon Rhododendron Society Show and Sale, and marks FSDS's second year at the Carroll County Farmer's Market location.
According to the event listing, the society will offer more than 75 varieties of daylilies in a range of colors and sizes, priced at $5 per double fan. The plants are bare root and ready to be planted at home, and color photos and descriptions will be available for every cultivar on sale.
FSDS members will be on hand throughout the morning to help shoppers select plants and answer questions about growing daylilies.
In addition to daylilies, the sale will offer companion plants donated by FSDS members — including irises, coneflowers, hosta, and Japanese forest grass — also priced at $5 per container.
Shopper information:
Hours: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., or until sold out.
Payment: Cash only.
Timing: The sale falls on Mother's Day weekend. Organizers note that some cultivars sell out quickly.
Proceeds from the sale support FSDS projects and programs throughout the year. Information about joining the club will be available on-site.
